What is Photo Engraving

Photo engraving reproduces a photo by converting it to a dot matrix image. A diamond bit is used to hammer the dot matrix image onto the surface of jewellery in very fine detail.
The contrast between light and dark areas give the reproduced photo a holographic quality. When light reflects off the photo from different angles it has a pleasing glint.
